My husband and business partner, Mark, and I recently attended our Diamond retreat with our millionaire business coach, Kendall SummerHawk. We were also blessed with a masterminding session with Fortune 500 and multi-millionaire coach, Ali Brown.
It was refreshing for us to learn about their fears and “stuck points” as they’ve grown their businesses. Fears that felt synonymous with my own. Fears that you experience as well.
You have a choice when faced with fear- either shrink back into the comfortable routine you know, and stay the same, or see fear for what it is- an opportunity to propel your forward. If you prefer the latter, follow this path to help you-
1) Start with gratitude. Create a list of what you are grateful for in your business and personal life. Spend a few minutes reviewing your list and practice deep gratitude for your blessings. Practicing gratitude is an excellent way to stay grounded and maintain a healthy perspective.
2) Fear generally presents itself as worry, self-doubt, frustration, or impatience. Be mindful of how fear shows up for you.
3) Acknowledge that fear is an opportunity for a breakthrough. Fear rears its ugly head for all of us. I felt it, at times, moving into 6-figures last year, and I feel it, at times, moving into multi-6-figures this year. As you stretch yourself and grow- you will inevitably experience fear. Think of it as a necessary challenge on your business path.
4) The underbelly of fear is a lack of trust. Ask yourself- what do you need to trust, to move through your fear? Trust in your abilities? Trust in the abilities or integrity of someone else? Trust in your intuition that you need to let something go, even if it’s difficult?
5) Go to that place of trust and take action with courage. Connecting with what you must trust will unite you with your innate courage. Go to that place and take action.
Next time you are afraid in business, remind yourself that ALL of us experience fear as a prerequisite for breakthroughs. And then follow these steps to help you confidently move forward with courage.
