My kindergartener and my 8^th grader both “graduated”.  I don’t know who was more excited.  I think my 6 year-old.  Something I have to work on is to truly celebrate the joy of accomplishment at every age.   It feels easier for me to gloss over the early stages because the older stages seem so much “bigger” and somehow more important.   My son grew four inches last year and is leaving me in four years! 

And yet… I know it’s only fair to my youngest is to appreciate the wonder of her own life steps.  Staying fully present with all three is not always easy!
