I had a good week at a South Carolina beach with my family and Mark’s extended family. (Mark and I have 11 parents between us so when I say “extended”- I mean…extended!)
I always rejuvenate on vacation- which is partly why I take so many! I come back refreshed and with the double the energy and excitement for my business. And I am convinced that taking breaks and vacations are the BEST way to create a 6-figure businesses with balance. Why work all the time and stop enjoying life – when you don’t have to?

Here is my daughter Mackenzi and I "chillaxing" (as she would say)- taking a break from our beach trip.
As we recounted our highlights from the beach week, we all thought of the same night. Jaden, my youngest, says it was when we “built that awesome bonfire and made s’mores. Yummy!” My tween, teen and husband say it was the same night – when they got to ride “really killer waves”.
As I sat watching the three of them that night whooping and hollering in the big waves, feeling sorry for myself that I didn’t bring my bathing suit – I was suddenly struck with the thought… “since when do I care about being like everyone else?” It was at that moment that I decided to leap into the ocean in my red dress and ride the killer waves with my family. Now, THAT was fun!
With that spirit of freedom in mind – I encourage you to think outside the box and focus on the results you want – even when HOW you get those results isn’t always what you would expect.

Greetings from Charleston, SC. I hope you enjoyed your visit to the Palmetto State! I love the picture of you and your daughter. With a 3-year-old and a newborn, I’m reminding myself to not take myself so seriously and ride the (fun) waves of life!
I also appreciated your previous post on the things we do to sabotage ourselves. You are doing amazing things to teach women to see what’s on the other side of their fear. In my case, it has been experiences and opportunities I never imagined.
Keep doing your thing!
