Here we are in Capri!

 I am back from a trip to Spain, Italy and France with my whole crew – husband, Mark, and three kids – Cameron (14), MacKenzi (11) and Jaden (6.5) – can’t just say “six” without hearing her little voice “Mom! I am 6 and a HALF!”:)   

We had a great time exploring different places.  We were on a cruise – which I know sounds very touristy, but I have to say, it was a great way to visit three different countries.  And, we bypassed the “cruise excursions ” by hopping in cabs with a local or renting our own car to explore.

Now, as far as the cruise part goes, my kids and husband (also a kid at heart) will tell you that the best part of the cruise was all the fun activities on board. (I had a lot of fun too).  But, for me, the best part of the cruise was that we didn’t have to pack and unpack in each country, or plan out where to stay, or figure out all our methods of transportation between countries.

In other words, the cruise gave us the results I wanted (to explore countries with my family) without the headaches and annoyances.  It made it SIMPLE (Get on the cruise ship, have fun, unpack once, explore on our own at each port). I was able to enjoy my passion (exploring different countries) without the extra hassles.
